Statisticians in clinical research work with company staff in various departments to design, test, and implement statistical programs which process data generated from clinical trials. They are responsible for planning data collection efforts, interpreting and evaluating the data produced, identifying trends and data relationships, and taking action to correct data inconsistencies. Their data are usually presented in the form of computer generated tables, charts, graphs, and written reports.

Skills/Knowledge Understanding of clinical terminology and regulations relating to good clinical practices. Good organization and oral, written and computer communication skills. Familiarity with technical language and terminology. Training/Requirements BS or MS degree and above in mathematics or statistics. Possess up to two years experience in clinical research.
