THE JOB 
Leaded Paint Abatement Project Monitors oversee leaded paint removal work and administer contracts under the supervision of Leaded Paint Abatement Consultants. They may take samples and conduct tests to monitor air quality and contamination control.

Skills - Understand and apply abatement laws/regulations - Write clear technical reports - Make decisions in the field according to safety standards - Perform detail work accurately Training/Requirements - Training from a Department of Health Services (DHS) accredited school - Interim Certificate for Leaded Paint Project Monitor from DHS accredited school - At least one year experience as Leaded Paint Abatement Supervisor or hazardous material monitor - At least two years college level course work in biology, chemistry or physical sciences or High school diploma or equivalent plus at least two years monitoring or supervising leaded paint abatement
